Queen Bey A Celebration of the Power and Creativity of Beyoncé KnowlesCarter Veronica Chambers 9781250200525 Books Reviews

  • If you are a part of the beyhive, a Beyoncé Stan or just a casual fan (no such thing), this book is a must. Great stories and anecdotes regarding the Queen
  • Loved this book. The essays are phenomenal. I like how interesting and diverse each one of them is. Great compilation of smart authors. Learned about many things including black history aspects I didn’t know, pop culture and even art!
  • My niece is a hug fan so she was very excited to get this book for her birthday.
  • Just another book on Beyonce, honestly haven't had a chance to finish but so far it's ok
  • I absolutely loved this book! It was so life affirming to see such a diverse group of women showing support for one another. I too have been greatly inspired by Beyonce in ways that still surprise me. Though on the surface we do not have much in common, the pages of this book confirm why I have almost always taken Beyonce's work seriously, and by work I mean more than music. She is one of the artists that will only truly be appreciated when they are dead or retired, so it was a pleasant surprise to for this book to do such a wonderful job of capturing her work in real time. That the author and many of the contributors are fellow black women is a wonderful bonus.
  • This is a comprehensive, intelligent, diverse, and passionate look at a woman who's become an icon while managing in many ways to remain honest and real. The author has gathered an impressive group of scholars, influencers, and writers to comment on one of the most famous entertainers of our time. Well worth the read.
  • While I'm not a huge Beyonce fan, I did like reading about why other other people admire her so much. I think Beyonce is a beautiful and talented woman and I'm happy that she has inspired so many women. Being a woman of color, Beyonce inspires so many other women of color to be who they are and not be held down by society or a man. Beyonce shows women, through her music, that they have a voice! This book celebrates that through essays from a lot of different people and I think it's great.
